TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR HOME'S CURB APPEAL
Curb appeal moves a potential buyer from their car into a home tour. If the potential buyers are put off by the exterior of a house for sale, they are less likely to be interested in moving further. A little extra effort can go a long way in selling your house. It takes just one interested buyer with good credit and a desire to purchase. Why not draw more interest by increasing your house’s curb appeal?
Stand outside of your soon-to-be sold home and look at it with the eye of a buyer. What do you see? Is the front of the house welcoming? Does the yard look well kept?
After taking stock of your house’s curb appeal, make a list. What can you do to beautify the exterior? Mowing the yard, trimming hedges, pulling weeds and edging are some of the basics that should be taken care of, but what about sprucing up the place a bit? Are there repairs to be made or attractive accents to highlight? A little effort could go a long way to getting more interest in your home.
Additional suggestions for increasing curb appeal include power wash the sidewalks and porch, touch up fading paint on trim and around windows, remove any personalized items outside that include your family name, brighten the walkway with potted flowers, trim trees, make sure the front door is welcoming by freshly painting it if needed and have exterior porch lights working properly.
